Hi,

The clips holding the above have come unstuck from the roof. Any recommendations how better to secure the cables? I’ve come across something called Eternabond tape, but would appreciate any other suggestions based on experience. Thanks.

I use >these< cable tie mounts. My mounts have been on there years and still remain firmly stuck. The ties become brittle after a while and occasionally break in fact I have two to replace when I get round to it.

I have some white box section plastic conduit holding my cables in place. I have three panels and the conduit hides the cables and protects them from the sun, we winter in Spain....

Thanks for this. Can you tell me what type of adhesive you use, as this seems to be the problem with my kit?

The cable mounts I used came pre-glued. Just peel off the backing paper and stick them on. I think the white trunking also comes pre-glued.

PeeDee, I think it was....if you need adhesive then Sikaflex seems to be the one of choice.

What ever you use, degrease the surface you are going to stick it to. I use white spirit.

I have a load of the mounts that PD mentions (I 'acquired' them about 20 yrs ago)  though they now seem to be loosing their ability to stay stuck. But I've used GORRILA TAPE to stick my bathroom cabinet to the wall ..... so it should manage a couple of cables
