Morning,

Just when I thought the Club could not stoop any lower on its smoke and mirrors offers I have just had an email with the latest one.

Dear...... We have some great news for you. We have reduced our 2024 prices to 2023 prices, we wanted you to be the first to know. We see you have made a booking for 2024.....take advantage of the new prices.......Just cancel and rebook....  limited offer. (Note the above is not the complete text)

Our booking was made on an amendment in April and is still under the rules of the old system. Just looked up the new special offer price and it is £60 more than my existing booking, so not such a good deal then!

After 40 years membership this may well be the last straw.

Derek

Is the price you book at guaranteed to be the price you pay on arrival regardless of any price rises in the meantime?

Could it be just hard luck that the original booking was under the old system? "Scam" seems a little harsh.

You could, of course, cancel and go elsewhere if you feel strongly about it. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Deals and offers won't suit or be an advantage to everyone. If you already have the best deal just ignore it, it changes nothing.

I perhaps agree a scam may be it little harsh, but offering a deal that is more expensive than my booking seems a bit counterintuitive. I will leave my booking as it is as it give me the freedom of flexibility.
