Hi, I wonder if anyone has experience of the N1 and M1 designation for Motorhomes. Everything I read says that a Motorhome having a fixed bed, sink, cooker etc should be classified as M1. One result of this would be to make that vehicle exempt from ULEZ charges.

My Fiat Ducato Swift Suntor says ‘Motorhome’ on the V5 but doesnt have the M1 designation, nor does it anywhere say N1.

if I look the reg no up on the govt website it says ULEZ must be paid so It must be N1. I’m confused as being a Motorhome under 3500kg unladen it fits the M1.

That is not my understanding, surely it all depends on engine emissions and not the type of vehicle.

My V5 does not show the category type but it should be M1 according to the Government web site. It does show the variant as 01 and the body type as a motor caravan.
