Hi, haven’t used the forum before so hello to everyone, we have been camping and motorhoming for a long time, wondered if anyone at present is waiting for delivery of an new motorhome and how long you have been waiting? Your feed back would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hi. I'm sorry you haven't had any replies.

I can't help as I'm a caravanner but perhaps a Moderator might consider moving this to the Motorhome section where M/Homers might be able to answer the OPs question.

    Good luck.

Welcome to CT. It looks like another case of a long delay by the club's communication department in approving your initial post, Alzyerpa, unfortunately. Hope you have not lost heart about receiving a reply, and perhaps other M/H owners on here will come back with responses to your OP.

Hello and welcome even if it is delayed.

Delayed delivery of MHs is a bit of a problem just now, due to the converters getting the base vehicle from the various makers. The company that converts the vans can't get enough of the base vehicles unfortunately.

In the group that I belong to it's getting slightly better as the base vehicles seem to be arriving on a steady flow now. Last year new owners were waiting 18mths this year it seems to be down to around 12mths.

Perhaps the delay is with special orders for special specifications, but I just looked at the website of one of the biggest dealers (Marquis) to see the situation. They have dozens of brand new motorhomes in stock from a range of makers . All there lined up and waiting for buyers -  ones with more spare cash than I have.  There doesn’t seem to be a shortage of ready built vehicles.

I have been waiting 10 months for delivery of a Swift Voyager.  Finally going to collect it on Friday. A long, long wait.

Hope you get loads of enjoyment from your new M/H. If you have any questions it would be best if you post them in the Motorhome section, as suggested by Wherenext.
