Did anyone else watch the BGT final? It says a lot about the British public when the vote favoured such an act lacking so little talent. I feel very sorry for most of the other finalist, especially the two youngsters who came second and third who had so much more talent. Either of them deserved so much more to win.

    It’s a money spinner programme created by Simon Cowell, is cheaper than quality drama to produce, fronted by two people famous for next to nothing. Cute acts like dancing dogs (that appeal to some) tend to win it. It doesn’t rate even a glance in our household.

    Love it HD. I hadn't watched any of the preliminary programes, just wanted to relax and unwind a bit. Wished I had not bothered now, wasn't even a variety show.

    Talking of talent there's poster around here saying that Billy Ocean (and Wet Wet Wet) are playing later this month in Jedburgh.
