Sites which charge per person, not per couple!

Hi Folks

I like most CMHC sites which I have used and tend to use them as I am a single tourer and they (and the CCC) charge for the pitch and per person, so it works out less expensive than most commercial sites.  Does anyone know of commercial sites or a list of sites which charge for the pitch and just one person?

Might be worth looking at some holiday parks off season. We are booked at Searles in Norfolk next month at £15 for a serviced pitch. Cost is per pitch not per person, but cheaper than Club sites. We used Haven in October for a similar price. Not our cup of tea in season but fine out of season.

    https://clbooking.co.uk/

This is a web site set up by CL owners where prices are generally all inclusive and cost less than main sites. A lot of CLs offer good facilities and are worth considering. You can also look up more on the main web site on here (don't use the booking system it isn't up to scratch yet for CLs.)

You may well be up to date with CLs and already use them but this might help others.

Probably not helpful if you want commercial sites but some CLs run small private sites too.

Hi vbfg😁 If you look in the UK Touring section, look at a sticky thread called Small Private Sites. It is a list of sites recommended by users on here, and I know that some of them will offer a single person rate, as we have in the past used a few. Best idea might be for you to browse, choose a site in an area of interest, then go to their website (or phone) and see what they offer. Some of the details are pre COVID, so best to check as things might have changed. My OH used to tour on his own, with me joining him at various locations, and sometimes he got a single person rate.👍
