Club Shop prices

I recently returned to the fold after a long absence. Part of the attraction - apart from meeting many kindred spirits in great locations of course - was the promise of lower prices on kit. So I ordered some fluid for my Alde  heating system, only to discover it’s available at the same rate on the open market! Now the club keeps making extravagant claims about the huge savings to be had at the Shop. So forgive me if I’m a tad sceptical. The retail marketplace is full of discounts off inflated prices. I hope the Club is not sliding down that route. But it’s back to the old saying “Shop around”.
