How long does it take for a review to show up on the site?

Usually quite quickly but with the changes in the pipeline and all the fiddling going on who knows what is effected?

Immediately you press enter, and you can go to the campsite page and see the review added. Reviews are not pre moderated. Moderation takes place after they appear if necessary although that only happens in a tiny percentage of reviews. Sometimes reviews are posted in the wrong place like the Story section and are usually just hidden from view as there is no means of moving them to the correct place. Could you expand on what you think is missing. I have checked your profile and I can't see any recent reviews.

Are you/Have you done your annual review for Hunter’s Moon? I think your last one showing is for 2020 if so.

If you take a long time to write a review you might find that on submitting it you will be timed out. I think 20 mins is around the time you have, so if you spend longer it will unfortunately be lost when you press the submit button and you'll have to re-write it (or try copy and paste before you submit.) Same with all replies on here, if we take too long or try to edit after a certain amount of time we'll lose our posts.smile

Hello David, I've now tried twice to leave a review on Hunters Moon pages, I'm under the character count and am still logged in and not timed out...and yet both times it doesn't seem to have appeared, doesn't even show in my own profile as having posted.

Just a thought. I noticed that on a previous review you used quite a long title. What you might want to check is whether any red text appears under the title box as this would prevent you posting. There is a limit (not sure how many) to the number of characters that can go in the title box. I sometimes come a cropper when I edit a typo in a review with a long title and it won't let be save if the title is too long although strangely it has allowed the OP to post! The only other thing I can think of is if you are using the same title as a previous review it might be preventing you posting. I have not come across this issue before so if it's none of what I suggest works  we will have to refer it to Rowena to see if she can throw any light on it.

I’m sorry you are having problems, but as there are 488 reviews of Hunters  Moon on here already  I wonder  whether it’s worth struggling to add another unless there have been drastic changes.

Are you prosing a limit on the number of reviews?

So what is there are 488?  (and thanks for checking btw)

The more reviews the better and indeed the more up to date the better I would think.

Hopefully the OP will get their views into print soon

The alternative might be to delete older reviews, say over three years old? I notice quite often on social media and UKCampsites people asking for newer reviews than already exist so whether a review over three years old is meaningful I somehow doubt.

I've always reviewed where i've stayed if possible, things change over time, keeping uptodate helps and this year certainly was a little different.  I didn't leave one last year as the status quo from the year before hadn't changed much.
