Going Solo

In the August magazine there is an article about solo caravan/motorhomes. It referred to an organisation called  Going Solo'. I would very much like to be part of that group as I can find it very lonely being on my own.  Other campers are friendly but keep a distance. Can anyone put me in touch with this group it sounded so encouraging.

I've just checked the article for you and, alas, failure on the part of the writer of the article in that they've not included any contact information.

I'll flag it up for our Community Manager in the hope that she may be able to source a contact for you.

Out of interest and via the Solo section discussion on CT I've looked for "going solo" and can't find any outside references (maybe I've missed something or maybe it doesn't exist?!) However one of the popular groups mentioned in the Solo area is the New Companions.

    Here's a LINK

PS You can find the CT Solos section HERE smile

Or an even better idea post the details on here so that anyone who is interested can access them with ease!

    Would be so useful......

But then I find its members not the club that make helpful suggestions.

How long would a reply to an email take? I read reports of 10 day if acknowledged. Sometimes never. Certainly not helpful.

Once again shows lack of proof reading and fact checking before publication!

I can assure you a group exists as when we were staying at the Norfolk Broads site last year a lovely gentleman alongside us met up & participated with a 'collective group' of single people daily.... he had traveled quite a way to be part of it.

It was lovely to see their daily outdoor meetings, exercising & planning/discussing their itinerary for the day smile ...... was quite a large group iirc....

    Good luck with your endeavours.
