After discovering cracks on the caravan tyres I decided to checking out the member offers on the  CAMC webpage... I Saw the national tyres ad offering member discounts thinking I would be able to get a great price on two new tyres for the caravan...how wrong I was.

National tyres do not sell / supply caravan tyres.... two local branches who  confirmed this with their head office customer services.

Tried Kwik fit ( not on the members ads ) - same story .

Ended up finding a local independent garage who specialised in trailers and caravans - who supplied / fitted / balanced and valves - including disposal of old tyres at a great price ..

I would have assumed that the large tyre retailers would sell caravan tyres ( they sell van / motorhome tyres ) ?

When I had a caravan I used E-Tyres a couple of times. They could also change Tyron Bands. I haven't checked it since I had a caravan but they used to have a useful page of information on caravan tyres.

As to members tyre offer, it could just be that members will also need car tyres as well so still worth offering. It depends whether the Club flag the offer up as being specifically for caravans?

I understood they were commercial van tyres which have  the stronger walls so can carry more weight

Yes certainly, and the OP said National Tyres and Quik Fit had those, but he wanted something special for a caravan.

This is what it states under Caravan tyres and wheels on this web site:

Tyres, however, are not specially made for caravan use. Caravans use either tyres made for cars, or ones designed for use on small vans. While there are tyres designed specifically for use on trailers, these are only available in specifications which suit models like small camping trailers, or one or two specialist types of larger commercial trailer. All caravans use car or light van tyres.

I use 195/70R14 - 96 T “extra load” ( reinforced carcass tyres  tyres) . Have been using trailermaxx tyres for years on caravans and heavy trailer without issue

I was surprised  that none of the big names suppliers were able to source the tyres I required
