Elddis Water Pump

We purchased a new 2021 115 Motorhome in September. Delighted with the van except the water pump sounds very loud. Whilst in for some warranty work, we mentioned it to the dealer and they said it was normal. Sounds like a loud vibration noise and wakes each other up if we use the bathroom at night. Reverted to jugs of water to flush and hand wipes.

Thanks DD. We had a Compass caravan before and although it had an external tank, we don't recall it being noisy at all. cool

I think I've found the problem.

Lifted the panel in the bottom of the wardrobe to gain access to the pump. The pump is fitted tight to the board below the wardrobe door. Although it's fitted on rubber mountings, the side of the pump vibrates against the vertical panel. Tried repositioning it but the pipes don't give sufficient flexibility so I've stuffed a sponge between it and it's much more quiet. I'll have a word with the dealer to reposition it when I next take it in. Another example of poor attention to detail by Elddis I'm afraid.
