Bought the ‘flagship Coachman’ caravan July 2019 and it’s been one thing after another Faults after Faults and Retailer a bit of a nightmare and Coachman side stepping all involvement.

list  of issues

Before Initial Purchase:-

Front window with large scratch inside ‘glass’

Bathroom door warped

Gas and Electric outside connectors different colour (One cream and one White)

Glass on sink top loose (Sorted 3 times)

Fridge not working properly.

 


Dometic Cooker:Grommets on Hob broke and/or fell off(Replaced by retailer with dry wall plugs cut to size)

Grommets broke and correct ones sourced from Dometic (Replaced by AWS member)

Seal on cooker broke sourced by me from Dometic and fitted myself

Dometic fridge never worked and went back to Knowepark to repair but could not find fault ? And eventually AWS fixed same later. However fridge has again has malfunctioned.

Dometic toilet stopped flushing and fixed at Knowepark and then leaking human waste returned to retailer but although stated fixed still has the same fault.

Blinds began breaking/sticking and returned to be repaired. Yet another one needs repaired and returned to retailer.

Sink in bathroom coming away from wall

Silicone in shower not fully sealed bottom of black splash protector  White silicone used instead of black

Whale pump began leaking and returned for repairs but whale wished to investigate and item replaced with old style pump ( In fairness offered a replacement new style if I want)

Awning light now flickering and returning again to retailer

Socket at bedroom bed malfunctioned repaired by AWS

Light under unit at sink malfunctioned repaired by AWS

Jockey wheel snapped at wheel and

Replaced at my own expense

13 pin connector jammed and replaced by AWS again at my own expense to save again travelling to retailer

Radio never worked properly and advised by retailer that a separate antenna could be fitted that may help but at a cost to me it continued to malfunction and eventually pointed out by retailer that it was out with warranty period so had to by a replacement again at my expense.

Between the above and two full fridge freezer contents being ruined plus continually up to Retailer etc it has cost me a small fortune.

Appears if I want it all sorted I may have to go to court.

why doesn’t our Club name and shame retailer and manufacturer as this may start them thinking more about customer rather than ‘it’s bought so forget‘ attitude.
