The Spring Bank holiday week in 2023 falls at the very end of May and into the first week of June.  I've just booked a pitch but can't book for the week because the latter half of the week falls into June.  This just doesn't make sense.  I've got to hope now, as I suspect many members will, that if they want a week away they can get the second half when June 2023 bookings open in June 2022.

Why, when this happens, can't the club just open up the following month at least until the end of the first weekend of that month.  Once again, no joined up thinking.

Even Chatsworth currently still has availability for that week. I suspect that as long as you get on the site as soon as June dates are released you won’t have a problem securing what you require. I agree re the joined up thinking, they only have to Google school half term dates to see they are cutting the week in half.

…and as the June 2023 bookings didn’t open as expected (we understand why) we are all left with half a holiday booked and not knowing when those dates will be available to book. We have booked with the other club. Half term May/June 2023 holiday sorted!

There is a new booking just about to be installed and replacing the old system. It is not possible to make any booking from June onwards atm until the new system goes live.

That is why I said “we understand why”. The timing of the introduction of the new bookings system, impacting May/June 2023 half term bookings, is a poor decision.

In the FAQs found in the search box, menu bar at top of the page CAMC states various scenarios if you already have a booking. I presume that the bookings now made will take precedence and will be migrated across giving you the opportunity to extend, rebook and choose a pitch type etc.

Let's hope a new and clearly visible page about the new system will appear soon. smile
