Thanks WTG. We did know about that one👍 There’s a lovely CL not far away as well, Venndown Farm. Got its own swimming pool and Spa Pool, we stayed a few nights a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. Two lots of showers and loos as well. I think it was around £14 a night when we stayed, pre COVID, so great value for money.

You can park behind the building next door as well. Large, level grass area.

WTG,  If you are heading north fromTintagel there are also car parks at Bideford, Appledore, Westward Ho, Torrington and Holsworthy where motorhomers can stay overnight - all are run by Torridge District Council and details are on that website.

Cobweb car park in Boscastle can accommodate motorhomes in limited number of spaces at the far end of the car park, no overnight parking though.

Don't think it was that one, I will see if S4S has it listed yet. Away from Cornwall Northumberland opened three of its carparks to overnighting on Monday, Amble, Beadnell Bay and Bamburgh.

Not on S4S yet but a quick search reveals 8 spaces are offered in the Coypool Park & Ride

We worked the Tintagel site in 2019 Bill, we noticed that that grass area got fenced off due to some long stayers (being polite) overstaying their welcome etc.

You can also overnight in the car park opposite the visitor center.

WTG, if you are going further into Cornwall with a motorhome you can stop overnight in the parking area at the Britannia Inn at Par - it may even still be free of charge. It is handy for visits to the Eden Project which has abundant daytime parking but I think not overnight.

That is always a risk of opening areas to motorhomes but when councils are offering these facilities they are also tightening up on the TROs and such people could well be fined, moved on in such cirumstances. Hopefully, if it does not get watered down too much, the Police, Crime, Sentencing and Courts Bill now in its final stages will also help with these problems

There’s a dedicated MH area there now, just drive through the main car park.

Maybe, but it has certainly been available in recent times. It’s well used but you need to get coins to pay which is a PITA at around £8.

NB Roadworks causing hold ups are nearby and ground works are currently going on in the pub's MH area.

I would be suprised if it's not Argyle, seeing a few MH's parked up recently.

    I think it's Milehouse, too.

I wonder if the boy racers still use the place at night?

Whatever the pros & cons, it’s good to see Devon councils collectively taking a progressive attitude to MH overnight parking. Neighbouring South Hams also introduced a scheme [South Hams] including Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Modbury, Ivybridge and Totnes. I wish Cornwall and others in the SW were as enlightened.

I know of someone who was actively engaging with Cornwall Council about possible provision. Being both a MH-er and a resident he was able to point out the advantages on both sides. Things were looking promising and then along came the local elections and the politicians became more interested in saving their seats on the Council. 🤷‍♂️

Not the prettiest location you’ll find, but easy access to A38.

Ah, Coypool. Handy for Sainsburys, Mcdonalds and the Beefeater as well as the A38.

I wonder what Riverside Caravan Park thinks of that🤔

I read on another forum that you can stay at Milehouse P&R and also George Junction which has showers, toilets and lockers.

Both have no height restrictions and parking for motorhomes during the day. I think Milehouse is ok overnight, but George Junction daytime parking only.

The Eden Project in Cornwall has applied for planning permission to convert one of their car parks into a campsite with 12 pitches.
