Hi, complete newbie, I understand I need to use 12v appliances when using my battery, what about electric hook up? Can I plug in an Xbox to use on my 12v tv? Will I trip the electrics? Will it run? I just need a little clarity as I’ve googled it and can’t find a definitive answer, thank you

Even with 16A you have to be a bit careful if you already have the electric space heating or even water heating on at 2Kw, and you then start using another high wattage item on top of that like an hair dryer or electric hob/fryer...and of course the heater for the awning surprised then you will trip the bollard but apart from that any single use item will be fine.

Just keep well under 3400 W as a rough rule, and this is not a target. Even on 16A get a low wattage kettle, under 1000 W.

And (almost) certainly a tv with DVD/games console will be fine even with the electric heating on.

It really doesn't matter if your tv is 12v and your x-box is mains. It won't trip out. Why not go with a mains tv as well. It would give you a bigger screen for gaming. Hope this helps
