Agree Corners. For me it depends how much it is per night, and how well could I cope. We have been in this situation, as I mentioned earlier. It was a cheap £14 per night stay, and our outfit had a perfectly good loo and shower, and we are perfectly happy and able to use them, so wasn’t worth the hassle. Had it been £40 per night, my Yorkshire DNA would have kicked in and the Club would be taken to task. But not via a forum, done directly.
Staff need to give out the correct information, then customer can act from there. I doubt on site staff will be empowered to give a discount, so get in touch with HQ and discuss options with them. Stay at a reduced rate, or go home with rest of nights booked reimbursed.🤷♀️

Just to put it in perspective it is very poor that the calor delivery has not been,,,
The other point is that it is at this time a think as when we have been at this time of year about 24 available pitches and the site normally is not full except at weekends and there are only normally two toilets in the mens and there is only two showers,

I mentioned upthread about lpg delivery delays. We read the gauges weekly and if when at 20% the telemetry may have failed so a call to Calor. On the occasion I mentioned above we went 4 days with a dry tank (the last 20% would last two days) so 6 days after a phone call. This all due to driver shortage. Can't magic a driver up?!
Regarding showers / toilets ,precovid secure times we work on 15 people per unit (shower/ toilet). The common calorifier we use is from Andrews. A small block could have 2 medium size but should cope adequately running just one if only around 20 units on site (just an average).
Still interested with the response from the site staff though?

Hence my post ,not many people would think it has only 38/9 pitches when all open
At this time of year there are only the hardstands open and one is used for the relief manager
So when as posted only one toilet open it is not as bad as some may be thinking

Hi everyone,
I've removed a few posts as we have a duty of care to Club staff and we ask members to be mindful of this on the forum. The discussion was also going off topic.
I have forwarded this discussion to our Sites team and will update on the situation when I have more information.

I've checked with the Sites team and can advise that the boiler is working and the showers are working. The current issue for the campsite is that due to a nationwide staffing crisis, Calor are unable to supply us with any gas until Monday (despite us requesting it well in advance), and our gas gauge is currently on 0%. As of this moment, we still have gas coming through and the toilet block is open, but the minute the gas supply runs out, we will have to close the block. The site staff are forewarning everyone on the campsite, and phoning arrivals the day before they're due to let them know the situation, so that everyone is kept informed.

I haven't read through all of this thread, but I think I get the drift of it. When we were at Sandringham in 2018 when the 'Beast from the East' arrived, we experienced a similar situation in that the telemetry on the gas tank failed and, consequently, the site ran out of gas and toilet blocks had to be closed. The Wardens visited everyone on site, apologised and explained the situation and offered us all a free night's stay. In actual fact the tank was filled up within a couple of hours and little inconvenience was actually caused. Can't expect much better customer service than that. That was, of course, pre-Covid problems.

That’s a good update from Ro, and gives the full story of what is happening.

Just an aside but on Watchdog on BBC1 this evening on the One Show it seems that the Club are not the only customers being let down by Calor with quite a few residential customers being left high and dry. As far as I could tell no real explanation offered by Calor for the dreadful service.

This area has been hit quite badly with the omicron variant the engineer who installed the stairlift had never been in this area before he came from Lea On Sea, and still had three calls after he left us at About1430 (not installations)one in Bucks
Our post has been desimated as the local sorting office is very short ,with if we are lucky to get post twice a week some posties are doing two half rounds per day morning and then afternoons the only mail that is reliable is registered and tracked which with our prescriptions have arrived on the right day but very late , one was at 1700 hrs

I watched that, I think driver shortage was mentioned DK.
JVB, our postcode area here is only getting post once a week, sometimes the postie does a detour down our road on his way home from work, very decent of him.

Not just a shortage of any drivers, but drivers with certification to handle the product.
