Earlier this year I re joined our local library (East Sussex) to use some of the online services during the lockdowns.  Having succumbed to Covid and having to isolate over Christmas I’ve revisited the service.  The magazines are now available via the Press Reader app and are completely free from subscription fees.  I’ve been able to download several magazines of interest, plus Practical Caravanning, and a daily newspaper.  There’s a huge range of magazines and newspapers on there from all over the world.  CT users may already be aware of the app, but maybe not that it can be accessed free via your local library, so I just thought I’d share this information.

We have access through the library service but via LIBBY. Same thing only different.smile

Magazines etc. all online for 3 weeks and notification when the following months issue is due. Excellent service and as you say, BG, a boon in these times.

Our library service used to be via Libby but it changed a few months ago.  The Press Reader access is on a 30 day membership and you can just renew it by logging back in when the time expires.  As well as getting the daily newspapers I’ve found it really useful being able to look at a variety of magazines that would otherwise mount up to several pounds worth.  I wouldn’t normally buy Practical Caravan magazine but, for the motorhomers amongst us, there are several magazines aimed at them too.
