App connection issues

The app (on android) seems to have frequent connection issues and either hangs or fails outright. Today I cannot even log in as it comes up with a dns_error_not_found, and doing a dns lookup (via an external website mxtoolbox) for the host name there is no record so the issue is not with my device, I have tried it on several devices each of which have previously worked.

    I not familiar with the Google play store on android, but in the Apple App Store it is possible to report a problem. It would probably be best to do that if possible. It is unlikely your problems will be picked up by posting on CT unfortunately. Although I have reported your post, as you never know.

    While you're there, please ask them to sort the rest of the forum .... easier posting pictures (500Mb max is useless) automatically open up new tabs when a link is posted etc etc

    It is trying to connect to api.caravanclub.co.uk and using external dns tools there is no A record or cname record setup for that server it is not an issue with my device. I have tried it on 2 that worked previously and on one I have uninstalled and reinstalled hence the need to sign in again where the failure occurs.

     

    it is trying to connect to that server with the following request: auth/oauth/v2/authorize?

    It is indeed fixed, thanks. I notice that the dns record for api.caravanclub.co.uk has now been published.

    When the app works it is good but I have had unreliability issues.

    I cannot connect my app on my android phone. Very Frustrating.

    Are you using the new App, or still trying to access the old one, which stopped working for me months ago?

    However, even if the new version, you are not missing much. It’s nothing but a front end to the website, but with more limited display due to only working in portrait. There is also no offline capability, which there was with the old version. About the only use I can find for it is the fact it lets you save your membership card in MyWallet. Personally I would just use the browser version.
