Abbey Wood - New Clean Air Zone
I have put this post in the UK sites category,so if it in the incorrect category can a mod move it.
The London clean air zone (ULEZ)is now moving further out of London,at the end of October, now to the A205 in the south (south circular)and A405 in the north (north circular)of London,so what I cannot understand is how Abbey Wood ,if you follow the directions given in the latest handbook, states it is in the new zone.
I can understand if the directions are not followed as per handbook, but there is something that I do not seem to fathom out.
Incidentally Crystal Palace is just as confusing, because you do use the A205 from the A2 until you turn off at Sydenham Hill which must be say 5 to 6 miles of travel without actually turning off towards London and by using the A205 and A405 do not actually incur any payment.
I currently have an Euro 5 engined Kuga so I seem to be in the category of polluting vehicles that will incur a £12.50 payment, and I have received the letter from Transport of London saying my vehicle may not meet the ULEZ standards. This is from a recent visit to the Crystal Palace site, but we did go into the "new" clean air zone driving once to the Rivoli Ballroom in Brockley.
