Novel ideas for some dog owners..
The club provides facilities for dog owners, which the majority of owners actually use, but for members who struggle with the idea of responsible and considerate pet owership then:
1. Try taking your dog to the dog walk/exercise area rather than use the grass around the pitch or your neighbours as the toilet, your dog may even enjoy the exercise
2. Try disposing of your pets waste in the poop bins provided not the general waste bins.
You would think the above top tips would not need spelling out, however having witnessed some truely disgusting behaviours from dog owners this year it does need spelling out.

So what do you do when you witness these events, Watto?
As has been said many times in the Touring with Dogs thread, and as pointed out by Rowena in her OP, these issues need to be dealt with at the time by maybe speaking to the culprits or, more likely, bringing it to the attention of the wardens.
Unfortunately, your thread is unlikely to resolve matters.

Well done on acknowledging in your opening sentence what we all know, watto, that the (vast) majority of dog owners are responsible and do the correct thing.
It's such a pity that the post then turned into the often repeated moan about the small minority and I have absolutely no idea what purpose it serves other than, I suppose, to just get things off your chest.
As a matter of interest, what do you do/who do you complain to when you see this sort of thing happening where you live?

I’m completely indifferent to dogs, but even I’m getting tired of these posts….we all know what to expect, it won’t change much - there are 12m dogs in the UK and multiple dog ownership goes with the territory. Some owners are excellent, some couldn’t care less. Complain if you wish, but largely a waste of time and elevated blood pressure. If it really bothers you, choose ‘no dogs allowed’ sites wherever possible. However, these aren’t always what they seem, but that’s another story.

Probably much more than that…. 12m dogs in 27m households, but not sure how many have 2 or more (quite a few).

On the site we are on currently, there was a MH alongside us for a night that had six dogs. At one stage they were running everywhere, apparently they all escaped. We did advise the need for them to be on a 2 metre lead, although the owner wanted to know how they could manage 6 in such a manner. No we didn’t bother the warden, as they managed to stop them escaping again. Whilst I think it is nice that folk can holiday with their pets, I do think 6 in the confined area of a van / pitch rather excessive.
