Can anyone who has used  The Vine CL site , near Welshpool, Powys recommend similar sites in the UK please? We love the way the site is laid out / set up and have stayed several times. We read up about sites in the handbook and online, but someone else's experience would be appreciated. Thank you.

MarkhamMorris, You don’t say where in the UK you are looking, but Poole Farm on the Devon Cornwall border might be the sort of comparable CL you are asking for.

We are interested in finding comparable CL sites anywhere in the UK, so all suggestions welcome! Thanks

Try The Brambles on Angelsey or Goodleigh Hill in Pershore.

I'm not entirely sure what it is you are looking for. Is it Hardstanding pitches or pitches that are offset a little or those sites that give you space regardless of whether it is on Hardstanding or Grass?

Maybe you can explain exactly what it is you are looking for and then other members can help.

By the Way. I think this post should be moved into the C.L. section where these sites and recommendations can be found rather than UK touring.

MarkhamMorris,    Can I ask have you used many CLs before or is The Vine the first one you have used?  The Vine has serviced pitches and hardstandings and this possibly results in rigid orientation ( all vans in the site photo shows them pointing the same way) - this is almost everything we try to avoid. We use the equivalent 5 van sites licenced by the Camping and Caravn club and it is the wide variation in types of sites that attracts us, we are certainly not looking to recreate a club site.

If I could suggest, why not try different types especially where the only limitations on pitching are your imagination and the length of your electric cable and not the length of your waste pipe.
