Just a heads up about this illness as it's doing the rounds locally in our part of Somerset and other places. So avoid letting your dog greet too many others if you hear it's around. We used to get our previous dogs vaccinated as they sometimes had to be kenelled.

Sorry, my recent posts have been about illness, but it's worth keeping alert about these things.

It's very prevalent here too. Ours had it earlier in the year I suspect from doggy day care. It was

The one jab she didn't get with her others. I forgot to ask, we weren't allowed in the vets at the time and might have been raised during a casual chat or examination and vaccination. Goes to show how difficult phone consultations can be. She's been done now, not that it prevents it......

Edit I was surprised its omission wasn't picked up by day care as the asked for vaccination proof.

Our son’s dog caught it recently and was really poorly. Hefty vets bill as well. That was a couple of weeks before she ripped her chest open! Back to her normal happy state of manicness now though.

Thanks for the heads up, brue and Debs when we are down in Somerset and Devon. We hopefully won't encounter many dogs as ours tends to give others a wide berth.
