Simple awnings for campervans?

We have a Timberland Endeavour (Renault Master LWB) with a prefitted Fiamma electric sunshade/porch, so there is no tracking available.  It would be nice to have a simple awning so we could still sit "outside" in inclement weather.  Does anyone have experience of a solution to this?

Basically, it needs to attach/seal over the side sliding door space.  Actually, there are oven and fridge vents on that side too, so the opening would need to extend further along the van side.

Regards,

Ian

You need to keep free air flow to the vents to allow heat and gas exhaust fumes to escape rather than being trapped in an awning. I assume that’s what you mean.

Why bother attaching an awning to the campervan if it is not easy? On the rare occasions I use an awning it is even rarer for me to bother attaching it to the motorhome. I leave it free standing. Just find one which can be zipped up at both ends as well as used with a "J" connection to your Fiamma awning. Mine is a Khyam quick errect one.

If you really want it to cover the top of your van door, I have seen people use two to three  ropes fixed to the awning tunnel which pass over the top of the campervan and are pagged down on the opposite side of the van.
