Atlas Cancelling Orders

Hi,

I'm new to owning a caravan, so would appreciate some advice here.

I am in the process of buying an Atlas Abode which my chosen park has ordered from its supplier. I agreed to purchase in March 2021 and it was due to be ready May 2021, then August 2021 and now expected late September. But told this week Atlas are now cancelling 2021orders to focus on 2022 models and unless I pay the uplift for that model my original order will be cancelled!!

I've seen from these threads of the delays so appreciate the problems  but can Atlas just do that?? You don't agree a price for a car, place an order then expect to pay more because it took longer to build surely.

I'd have thought they need to honour existing orders, but it seems not so not sure where we stand.

    I think this is a static caravan you’re talking about and you may find a forum dedicated to statics will bring forth more help and advice as the people there will have more experience of the ways with statics, sellers and sites.

    All I can suggest is that you read the contract of sale carefully and, if necessary, seek legal advice.
