We will be travelling from St David’s club site to Shawsmead near Aberaeron in a Motorhome and would like to stop off for a picnic lunch and walk or similar with nice scenery for 3-5 hours. Does anyone have any suggestions please? We will be travelling up the A487 Pembrokeshire route and happy to deviate if the roads are suitable. Many thanks

Fishguard is pleasant, either around the ferry area or old town harbour. In land a bit the Preseli Hills are interesting, the home of the Stonehenge blue stones. Further on Cardigan is worth a walk around and also nearby Cilgerran with a castle and riverside views (painted by Turner.)

Many thanks - will have a look at all of those suggestions. I am liking the idea of a fish and chip lunch 👍

Enjoy the journey! The Sloop as recommended by WTG is very good but you might need to book at present.
