Hi all! We are a family of 5 who really love bodyboarding and are looking for a site near a good beach for bodyboarding that is not in Devon or Cornwall. We have always gone that direction and would like to try somewhere new. All recommendations greatly received. Thank you

Gower peninsula and Pembrokeshire have beach and bodyboarding possibilities for you but I have no idea what size and style of campsite you prefer.

Scarborough Nth Yorks both Scarborough bay & Cayton bay are good. Good but even better when tides & wind are maximised. There are 3 C&MC sites in the area. Enjoy👍🏻

St Davids, Pembrokeshire for the popular Whitesands Beach. Lots of other good local  beaches including Marloes, depends where you choose to stay.

Newgale is the big one! Also the site at Freshwater East, easy walk to the sea. smile

Let’s plug Scotland as well. Machrihanish Holiday Park looks ideal as a surfing base - it would be a heck of a drive for me, but we don’t even know where the OP lives .

Thanks all! Should have said were based in Southampton so the Wales options seem a good distance for us. Will have a look at Freshwater east and the Gower. We've done CLs in Cornwall and Devon, but are also to happy to go for the bigger club sites as its a new area for us. We like to have easily accessible ones, not too fussed about there being toilets/showers available on site but if no on site ones we like to have a serviced pitch (too much filling the water barrels when showering sandy kids after the beach if not 😂)

Don't know how far you want to drive to a beach but Rivendell CL, Reynalton, Pembrokeshire, No.2121 in Site Directory has serviced pitches, and is not too far from the coast, Manorbier, (11 mls), Freshwater East (12 mls), etc.

I would think you'd all enjoy Freshwater East, as Deleted User suggests there are other good possibilities nearby for a change of scenery.
