I can't see your problem, Wedgy. The box doesn't pop up everywhere. For instance, it's not here. If you open it accidentally, it's simple enough to close it.

You are correct it doesn't show on discussion pages but it does show on most others and gets in the way when trying to book sites on a mobile device, so that's my issue. Pop ups like this should be configured so they can be disabled IMO.

I’ve not found it a problem even on my phone.

Try contacting the web team via the new Contact page. They’re the people to talk to.

I only get the pop up when I've not logged in.

Post edit: Yes just tested it, not logged in I get pop ups, logged in and I don't.

That's the reason then. Looks like I will have to just put up with the annoyance 😡

    Try this

    Open Chrome Browser
Go To Settings In Chrome – Three dots top right
    Scroll Down To Site Settings
Find Pop-Ups & Select The Option To Block Pop-Ups

Hi Vulcan I double checked that I had done that and sure enough I had but the pop ups still appear. Many thanks for taking the time to offer a solution but at a loss as to why it doesn't work.
