Have a word with Songhurst Caravans,West Malling.I recall that they had some specialist repairs done for warranty repairs on a brand of new caravans a number of years ago (could have been Elddis).Tim might not know but he could ask Richard who was the owner at that time.01732 845399

We had that happen to us on a 2011 Ellis avante a few years ago. The dealer I used then, Viscount caravans in Southampton got me a quote from a company to replace one of the panels, was about £500! Too much. Can’t remember the actual company name.
In the end I stop drilled the crack and got some wide uvpc window trim and covered the crack over and sealed it with sealant. Had the van for about 3 years after the repair and didn’t have any problems with it.1 -
I wonder if the o.p. bothered to take my advice.I will probably never know!

Not an unusual occurrence, np. Replying by OPs with updates and words of thanks to suggestions given by posters on here is a too rare occurrence, unfortunately.

Thanks for the update, ajg. Hope you manage to get the repair done without too much expense.

I would be trying something similar to TravellingPeacocks. Drill a small hole at each end of the crack so it cannot spread and then bond a strip of formica or similar across the area but from wall to wall. It would be stronger and if you get the colour correct not look out of place.
