ATC electrics
Hi,
I am currently having problems with my ATC. At the moment I get a RED light with no noise coming from the ATC. I have left it plugged in over night for over 12 hours to reset the log but have had no joy.
I had a recent issue where I thought I had been hitched in and as I drove of the van dropped (wont be doing that again). This caused some problems with the main black cable from the car to the van resulting in the ATC including the ATC light and brake lights not coming on. I got the black cable and plug replaced along with the ATC light ,when fitted the brake light where all fine and the atc coming came on. Now I hadnt had the replacement ATC light at this time (arrived couple of days later) so was unsure what colour would had been displayed. I then tested with the car but then the ATC failed to come on. It was then test by the mechanic on his external battery and didnt fire up either.
The mechanic was not very familiar with ATC so I was think that maybe he is missing something basic that others may have had experience off. I am wondering if its just faulty connection? Is there a way I would know if Pin 9 was feeding through?
I had a look at the wiring that was done and was think if this was the root cause.. I did also notice that the blue and white wire was not connected - is this meant to be this way? (see below)
I have it booked in for a service but that isnt for another 4 weeks and its currently difficult get any out as everyone if booked out.
Any advice would be much appreciated.
Thanks
