I assume they have checked but was it a standard item on the model of the time?

Well it would be usually on the near-side side panel to give power in the awning and usually near the wheel arch. It may not have one? Sorry I can't be more help.

Post edit: this one has it right at the front see

Models bearing the name 'Sport' were often constructed to be lighter than their equivalents. Maybe things were omitted to make it lighter.🤷🏻‍♂️

We have a 2010 Challenger, it has a 3 pin socket in the "wet locker" front nearside. Has a spring loaded cover.

We bought our Challenger sport new in 2015 and this model came without an external socket but we got the dealer fit one prior to collecting it. also the same wiring looms are used across the range so picked up the 12 volt circuit wires and fitted a 12 volt socket and a USB charger in the two blank sockets in the bulk head above table & draws
