Delivery damage

We ordered a new Caravan and due to poor health etc we asked if it could be delivered to a seasonal pitch we had booked. Due to not being the best health wise I didnt fully inspect the caravan on the day it arrived as I was worried about it not being cleaned with Covid and all.  Since I've had a look an it looks like whilst being towed it hit a branch and there is a deep scratch on the front and down the side.

We havent moved the caravan as it is on a seasonal so not done by us, however when we mentioned it to the dealer they said any damage needed to be reported within 48hrs.

Does anyone have any advice as to what our rights are regarding this issue?

Thanks,

Laura

I'm not sure you have any rights, tbh. You didn't inspect it properly on delivery and have no proof the damage occurred prior to arrival on your pitch. It could have happened on site after delivery.

Unless you can find a witness to prove your claim against the dealer, or against the site owner, I fear you're stuck with it. Sorry it's not what you want to hear.
