Hi all,  we have a caravan approx 10 years old. There is a large dent to the kitchen worktop caused by something unsecured falling on it. Can anyone recommend somebody to repair or replace please? We are based in the North west.

Thanks

If it were mine I would ask a local carpenter or handyman in the town to replace the worktop. But I live far from you so there's no point me giving you the name of the guy who would do it. Sorry.

Depends how much you want to spend🤷‍♀️ You could simply carefully pick out the damaged wood (and what looks like a botched attempt at a repair with the wrong colour replacement). Make sure it’s clean and free of any loose debris then carefully refill with a suitable colour plastic wood, sand it smooth and put some clear sealant on the repair. You can buy replacement caravan worktop as well if you want something better, although matching it up to other work surfaces might not be easy.

The North West is a big geographical area, you might need to be a bit more specific about where you are (Lancs, Cumbria, etc....) to get a suggestion close to home.🙂

caravan worktops are made up of a surface top and a laminate base and filled inbetween  with a foam core so if it is possible to get access to the underside of the damage area you could drill a small hole and push up the damaged section of w/top and super glue it back into make it level and then clean off any residue of adhesive and touch up as reqd

When EmilysMum smashed the worktop of our caravan while trying to break up a bag of ice cubes, I used Magicman. I keep my caravan at home so it was easy to arrange a visit. They weren't cheap, and the repair is not completely invisible, but it's pretty good. I'm pretty happy with it.
