How long should the shower be able to sustain hot water in a Bailey Unicorn, Alde heating system, It seems to go cold part way through my shower!

    How long is your shower?

    Are you doing the wet all over, water off, lather up, water on and rinse procedure? If not, the hot water won't last.

    Have you set the water to its highest temp and mix it with cold in use to make it go further?

    As with any LV hot water system ,they are not the same as domestic hot supplies, ,

    Method for LV shower 

    1 wet body 

    2 turn off shower

    3 soap body and scrub

    4 turn on shower and rinse off, 

    cool

    Using the method described, both the wife and I can shower (separately) and on less than a full aquaroll. Are you using the boost?

    We put the water heater on boost for 15 mins or so before showering.  Using the method described, we can both shower without the water going cold.  We do tend to wait 5 minutes or so between showers though.

    We've had our Unicorn from new (2013) and have never had a problem with the water going cold.

    If you turn the HW to gas only, it will re-heat much faster, even  as you are showering.

    Depends a bit on time of year and the temperature of the cold water being added. However in our 2014 Unicorn Cadiz, with Alde heating, if put on boost, I could get 3 / 4 minutes. That was with one of those eco camel shower heads that mix in air. Only did it if on a service pitch though.😀 It would of course depend on how hot you like your shower.
