Falcon Tracker advice please

I recently bought a motorhome with a tracker fitted by Falcon which has a gif gaff sim.  We have changed all the details to mine, however I am not able to set the tracker the previous owner however can is still the only one who can do this.  Would be grateful for any advice as 3 days of trying Giffgaff and Falcon today we are no further forward other than for me to drive 3+ hours and be charged to for them to resolve the issue.  Would be grateful for any advice on how to change it over to me, thank you in advance

    It’s a secure device so they don’t make it easy. I would have thought that it’s necessary for Falcon to change the account details for the tracker device, not least because fees will become due to them and SMS alerts etc will need to be updated with your numbers. Have they done that? If previous owner can still access it suggests not. 

    Also, changing account owner will probably reveal vehicle journey history to the new account holder - that might be a reason for the transfer to not be possible?

    Swapping ownership of a SIM card sounds like a process that will make your head hurt!

    I’d be inclined to buy your own tracker and start from scratch. They can be had for about £80 these days.
