Auchtertyre Farm Parking.  Hopefully a good beginning for UK Aires, especially as you can drop in for a "service" only at a fair price.

I also note that South Hams District Council are going to allow MH's to park in some of their carparks overnight for a fixed fee of either £15 or £10.

Plans that will 'boost to the economy of the South Hams' by allowing motorhomes and camper vans to stay overnight in nine car parks have been backed by councillors.

Motorhomes and camper vans are currently permitted to park in allocated car parks in the district, but overnight sleeping or camping is not permitted in any of the off street car parks at present.

But South Hams District Council’s executive have agreed to approve a 12-month trial to accommodate the ever-increasing numbers of motorhomes/camper van users opting to use car parks and other locations for overnight stays.

There are others.  Ayrshire council are trialling official stopovers in Girvan and Ayr. It will be interesting to see how many of the planned aires such as those in the Moray council area are open this summer.

Thanks for that.  It's a long time since we did Scotland, infact before the NC500 was named 😃.  We really should do it again and some other bits as it seems to be opening up to the needs of MHers.

I came across this Foxes Afloat video on YouTube about a project at Runcorn to connect the canal to the MSC. What I noted as interesting is that within the design concept they are planning to incorporate overnight parking for motorhomes with facilities.
