Distance from tap to aqua roll

Random question....I want to cut a piece of plastic tube to feed from the tap into the aqua roll ahead of our first trip of the season without any facilities open, which means a lot of refills!

On most caravan club sites, the water doesn't always come out of the tap straight into the aqua roll...

So does anyone happen to know the distance from the tap to the aqua roll or have a similar piece of pipe they could share the measurements of? I know it exists because i've seen people use them before.

Many thanks!

Don’t know if you mean flexible tube or rigid as in the photos. This is by far the best solution. Held over the tap end by the adjustable toggle. We bought ours from the warden at Hawes many years ago. The piece of pipe is 50 cm long and 32 MM diameter. It fitted on all water points we used, during our caravan years.

    Only just realised.
Seems a little odd this has taken13 days to get an answer. I don’t recall seeing it before. Is it a case of a new members first post awaiting approval?

likewise in the motorhome section & towcar section. Posts from a few days ago & one from the 4th of the month.

Maybe due to the speedy response all round of the site .....

Easy enough to make from a piece of plumbing pipe. Our home made one was two piece and telescopic to cater for the varying drops needed on different sites.

There you go, DM, there's no one size fits all.

Some enterprising wardens make and sell their own. We got ours that way.

We did too.  I think it was from the New Forest Centenary Site about 3 years ago having struggled with a proper Aquaroll filling tube for many years that never fitted the taps and always resulted in as much water running down the outside of the tube as inside.

We bought a piece of expandable plastic tube that concertinas both lengthways and bends from B&Q many years ago. With staying on a lot of CLs the taps are not guaranteed to be of a uniform nature so this will fit everything we've come across. Just tie some string around it and make a loop and away you go.

Can't remember how much it cost but it was a pittance.

I have a spare piece of the concertina type pipe used for waste that usually pushes onto the tap connection and grips there. If not I just hold it in place while the aquaroll fills. Simples😁

A mtr of flexible  waste pipe and hold it on the tap you do not have to be directly under the tap and not all taps are the same height from the ground👍

I just use the hose that comes with an Aquaroll ..... sometimes you just have to regulate the tap a little so the hose doesn't blow off 🙂
