Front locker Sterling Eccles ruby problems

Hi I have a sterling Eccles Ruby 2011 caravan and are having problems with the front external locker door not staying open . I’ve removed the stabilus lift o mat rods and these seem to be ok any ideas

Sterling vans, we have a Sterling 2008 model, are made by Swift, they are pretty good at answering queries on their forum, and there are plenty of owners posting on there too.
