Doug Scott, climber & Fund Raiser for Nepalese people has died at  79

Remember  tales of his climbing with Chris Bonnington & Dougal Haston stirring my interest in 'big hills'  only slightly diminished by the tale of his struggling to get to safety when he had broken both legs and had to crawl, literally, on hands and knees.

    What a guy! He will be sorely missed by the climbing fraternity world wide.
