Stirring the Pot
Well no one is quite sure what the latest tinkering with website has officially done, but it seems to have re surfaced some months old threads, often locked as well. Pays to check the dates before answering....😁

I am not sure it's part of the usual forum function. However if you look at this link https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-together/discussions/welcome-hobby-talk/caravan-motorhome-chat/nhs-testtrace-on-site/?p=25 you can see the page number at the end of the link. Once that link is in your browser you can change the number. I would have thought it would only be useful if you knew which page number you were looking for? I suppose it would allow you to jump back and forth more pages than the current arrows at the bottom of the thread page allows?

Yes I did mention page numbers, no idea which thread it was available on! I said about it on the closed planned maintenance thread.
I've tried David's link, if it was there it isn't now..... It's not on the what are you up to thread now, but I suspect that was the one - who can say.?
It was at the bottom of the page, where you click on the arrows to change page, it had numbers faded out possibly either side of the current page number which was darker in colour, inbetween the arrows.
Oh well wasnt much to get excited about anyway, sorry to raise expectations 🤣🤣🤣🤣

In the main forum page, the "latest post" seems to have gone haywire "again". Yet more fiddling with stuff they lack the competence to understand.

Cheers David.
There have been a couple of occasions on threads that have spread over a large number of pages that I have wanted to check facts before posting but jumping back 2 or 3 pages at a time is a bit of a pain. Your way would allow me to choose somewhere near, say halfway etc. Might come in useful.

But on a thread with many pages you can't, for example, jump from the opening page to Page 22 of a thread with 40 pages. You have to slowly creep your way upwards, to page 5 at first, or back from page 40, two by two.
So a way to get to page 22 without all of the faff would be handy.

Once in a thread it is possible to navigate to a specific page. The steps are as follows.
1.Navigate one page away from the page from you enter the thread.
2.Click in the address box of your browser and scroll to the end.
3. Change the page No. to the one that you require.
4. Click reload.
