I can’t tell you anything about the McLouis but I can tell you a lot about the dealer in Devon by the A38 just east of Plymouth and not much of it is good.

Hi, we bought a new McLouis Fusion 360 on 4th September this year. We bought it from "The Motorhome Showroom" (Mr Phil Smith) near Warminster. We love it and have already had several trips away and are planning to use it every month all through the year (lockdown permitting). We have had a few annoying niggles with it but that always the case with a brand new vehicle. 1) The bedside reading lights over the rear bed have been installed at the wrong end of the bed, We like to sit up in bed and look at the view not have our backs to the window! We had new lights installed at the correct end. 2) There is a piece of wood screwed to the wall next to the toilet which prevents the seat and lid from staying up. I'm over six foot and have to rotate the loo slightly to use it. This wood covers the power feed to the entry grab handle. I've suggested to McLouis to feed the power from the bottom of the rail so that this piece of wood is unnecessary. 3) The curved wall to the bathroom is a little flimsy and we have found the door jamb has distorted and we couldn't open the bathroom door. This is being fixed under warranty. 4) We have installed two extra mains power sockets in the garage to charge our electric bikes when on hook-up, otherwise its a long extension lead through the van. 5) we have installed a Thule Veloslide bike rack in the garage, one of the main reasons for buying this motorhome. The fit is perfect for the two bikes and makes loading so simple. 6) The table is too low when you sit in the drivers and passenger seats (when rotated) but too high for the bench seat. There is no height adjustment for the table and we have added an extra bench cushion for the seat. 7) if you sit in the front seats of an evening (seats rotated) there is no interior light behind you if you like to read. We are having extra lights installed. Lastly, the engine warning light keeps coming on and it is  the diesel particulate warning light. We've had it reset 4 times. Apparently its a common fault with the Fiat engine!

Any other question come back to me

I bought a McLouis Fusion 373 in Autumn 2019.  Most people who have them, including me, love them as the build quality is good and the design is good as well.  However there is a major issue and that is there is literally no aftermarket support worth speaking of.

I bought mine from a good local dealer but whilst on my first major holiday abroad the drop down bed jammed down and it became clear there was an issue with the electric drop down bed  motor.  We spent the rest of the holiday with it jammed down (several dealers abroad struggled as parts appeared non standard) and on our return to UK in August 2020 our dealer agreed it needed a replacement motor.  Since then despite the very best efforts of our dealer contacting he factory on many, many occasions, all of their requests for a warranty claim have been met with total silence from the factory in Italy for many, many weeks - indeed months.  The vans are imported by Autosleepers in Broadway who have shown total indifference when contacted by our dealer.  We have now not been able to use our van with family since last summer and are still waiting for the part.  Just before Christmas the factory came back to our dealer and said they now no longer use the electric motor we need and that was it - no offer of a solution.

Our dealer - Nick Whale Motorhomes near Alcester - have done everything they possibly can to try to get the matter resolved and I have no issue with them at all but I would take into account that if you buy a McLouis Fusion you are effectively buying a van with no warranty support worth speaking of.  Dethleff produce motorhomes that are very similar to the McLouis and I would steer you in that direction as they have good aftermarket support.

So great vans until something goes wrong with them.  Autosleepers Head Office should hang their heads in shame for an abysmal lack of customer care for vans that they import.

My solution to the section of wood that hinders the toilet lid from being comfortably opened on my Mclouis Fusion 360.

I've fitted 2  230v sockets in the lounge area at floor level and 2 in the garage so far.

    Hi,

We have the McLouise fusion 379 and are wanting to fit a sliding bike rack in the garage, did you need to drill into the garage floor to fit the Thule model? if so were there any issues and does it invalidate any warranty?
