Caravan tyres

Having just checked the age of the van tyre I found that they were just over 5yrs old from date of manufacture so have been fitted just under 5yrs .The tyre walls were badly cracked a crazed on both sides of both tyres 14cx185x80

Now comes the hard part trying to source 2x 185x14c 80 tyre most of the tyre outlets national and local could only supply car tyres but one dealer could get two goodyear tyres  for £97.00each Idid say that Iwould just bring in the wheels for the tyre fitting ..does anyone know of a reasonable priced tyre suitable for a caravan bearing in mind the lifespan is less than 5yrs and will spend most of its time doing a low mileage and then parked up

Not sure where in Yorks you are but we used a mobile fitter who recommended using a more economic brand as they would have a longer life having not been on the shelf as long as other makes.

We had 2 fitted for £57 each and they were manufactured in 2020

I have had 2 Kargomasters ST6000 fitted recently for £160 by a mobile fitter. They are designed for caravans. Having had a blow out, I wouldn't economise to much on van tyres. The blow out caused a lot of damage

Hi There ,185/80R14 tyres are still readily available.It is slowly becoming a dated size now but many of the economy brand manufacturers and also a few of the premium brand manufacturers are still making a 185/80R14 C 8Ply tyre which are suitable for fitment to both caravans & mototorhomes .
