Does anyone have recent experience of using the parking at the harbour for a night before crissing tge bext day? I contacted calmac, as  their website says to book. However they say i need to contact the harbour on 01294 469468 to enquire. I have tried repeatedly but never get an answer and cant find an alternative number or any email address. I understand that you can just turn up and pay but id like this confirmed if possible.

Listed on Park4Night & CamperConnect but no phone numbers. Looks like you just turn up - seems to be several options in the local area. Early start at terminal with HGV noise!

Thats the number from calmacs website that  I phoned. They thought i could just turn up, which is not what it says on their website so i emailed calmac customer services to check. They got back saying it wasnt under their control and to ring the number i quoted in my original post.  As i said cant get a reply from that. Its really just for peace of mind, if i cant find out we'll turn up and see what the score is.

Please don't worry. It's a car park. There's no need to pre book or pre pay a car park.

I hope the rough seas calm down and you have a safe crossing.

Yeah, everything ive seen suggests that, except for the calmac website. As i said above it was just for peace if mind, if i cant find anything else we'll just turn up.
