Awning repair

I've got a couple of tears in an Isabella awning. I've purchased a Kampa repair kit but the instructions are a bit sparse, to say the least. There's a couple of feet of sticky tape, two circular patches and two tubes of 'solution'.

One tear is relatively simple and I'm guessing the tape will suffice for that. One side only or both sides?

The other tear is L-shaped and right next to a seam. I assume I'll need to patch that, but do I use the stuff in the tubes as well?

I had an awning mud skirt repaired by a local firm ... you could hardly tell where the repair was & they didn't charge much (too long ago now to remember how much). I know you've already bought the repair kit, but I'd suggest you find a local awning repair firm & take it to them .... I'm sure the quality of the repair will be worth the expense. 😉

I had a small repair done to my Isabella awning by Isabella. If you contact them they will give you a price and organise getting your awning to them and returning it to you. Mine was returned to me in about 7 days and at a very reasonable price.

Give them a ring and get a cost before going elsewhere.

Thanks, I'll try that, although the awning is getting on a bit and depending on the cost the repair might not be economical. I was thinking of selling it in favour of a smaller air awning. Do awnings hold their value?
