The lighting on my 2013 Coachman is strips of leds. There's a long strip above the kitchen area and within the nice white leds some have started to turn yellow. It's not really a problem yet, but just wondered if anyone else with similar lighting has started to get a similar fault?

Haven’t had this problem in the motorhome or in the house where we have many LED downlights and strip lights in the kitchen which are just the same. I think the likely cause is not so much the LED light but the plastic surround or the LED encapsulation which can go yellow from heat. This could be caused by heat from a hob or just lack of ventilation around the fitting.
Although LEDs are very efficient and give off little heat they can need a “heat sink” to draw the heat away so it could be bad design. Having said that, it is common to see them directly attached to the underside of cupboards with no natural airflow (and that’s exactly what I have done in my kitchen!).

I've given up trying to mess about re-sizing photo's to post them here otherwise I'd show you. 😏

The leds look something like these stuck inside a clear covered conduit, and so far there are just 3 that have gone yellow (2 in a long one & 1 in the shortest) No airflow at all inside the 'conduit'

As said, they're not really a problem, I just wondered if anyone else had similar. If they get any worse, I'm sure I could use a strip of the above leds instead.
