Mercedes Sprinter engine power upgrade

Does anybody have any experience of having an engine re-map or a tuning box fitted to a mercedes spinter 316 cdi 2001 2.7 litre diesel motorhome. all experiences welcome good or bad.

    I would say that with a 19 year old engine it could push it towards a disaster.
