One week holiday at a rented house in April cancelled, 30 night holiday in England and Wales using 6 sites cancelled. 50 night holiday in Scotland using 9 sites cancelled. Proposed 5 week holiday in end August to start of October not booked and looking doubtful at present.

15 nights from mid December booked but who knows?

I don't plan my trips too far in advance unless long distances are involved and then it is only the channel crossing which is purchased. I only had one site booked by the time CV19 came along and that was cancelled by the Club. I subsequently rebooked it but had to cancel due to circumstances but I have managed to get it rebooked for later in the year. I had two cruises booked, I postponed one until next year and have yet to decide what to do about the other one. Efforts to contact the cruise company to transfer the booking have so far failed. I am hoping they will cancel it but I suspect they won't do that until after full payment has been made which I am not going to make..

To sum up my trips with a motorhome have not really been disrupted but other bookings have.

We had booked a 6 week tour of NW Scotland for May and June, which of course was cancelled. Now rebooked where possible for same time in 2021. For September / October we had nothing booked but planned to go touring in France, probably using the Poole Cherbourg crossing. We have now decided to stay in this country for this year and have booked about 5 weeks in September / October. Some south of here, some north with a stop to do some washing when passing back through, it will avoid having to queue for a machine on site.

We’d booked a crossing to Bilbao, returning from St Malo, booked it early to get decent cabins. Didn’t materialise, of course, so we amended the booking with Brittany Ferries for St Malo and return in September. Hoping things will have improved even more by then, and we’ll be able to go, but who knows!

We’ve booked a week in the ‘van at the Club’s Kendal site for next month. Looking forward to going, been no further than Tesco in Burnley since March 😱. And that’s only been once a week.

    🙂

Only Site we had booked in advance was  Marazion for start of Tour of Britain in September, and that was in doubt if we found a CL in same area we fancied more. Other than that, we book nothing.

However, we would normally have had at least four or five tours done in MH, and probably fitted in a cottage holiday with Mum by now. We usually have at least another fortnight with Mum in a cottage later in year, so will see how things work out. Got a tentative plan coming together for a weeks tour towards end of this month, but will be booking nothing as usual, will phone and check before setting off. As we don’t exactly know where we will be going, other than most likely Northwards, we are playing a waiting game. Depends on weather, cases in area we wish to look around, and what things safely of interest might be open and uncrowded. It will mainly be about heading off with a full weeks worth of food (bar fresh milk and veg), dipping our tootsies and hopefully our whole selves into the sea, walking and cycling. We would be entirely happy not interacting with another human being if we can help it (unless we come across a few like minded chums out and about of course😁) We possibly don’t even need a hook up either, so might explore some off the beaten track sites. No bookings, means no deposits, so we can change our minds as we want to touring around.

Similar to you peedee regarding cruising.  End of October one I transferred to same next year before I had to pay the balance.  I use a cruise agent so no problem.  Another next January in the offing, but who knows at this stage.  Caravanning April at a private site now arranged for September.  Just back from club sites on the south coast and off next week to private site in North Norfolk.  Thank goodness for the caravan, but love to cruise too in the winter.

We tend not to plan that far ahead. The last time we were away in the van was in December 2019. In normal years we would have been away in January or February depending on the weather but this year we were having a new kitchen which took priority and then came the lockdown! Only immediate plans are a few days away in early August as a bit of a tester. Might think about the IOW for September. Beyond that no further plans but after October will be watching the COVID situation very carefully so might be lucky to get 20 nights away this year!!!

We cancelled all our bookings for March, April, May and June. I'm not sure how many nights, but probably around 50. We have also cancelled eight nights in November as we no longer have a desire to visit any Christmas markets even if the events take place. As of today we are yet to go away for even one night in 2020 and have just 11 nights booked over the next few weeks. Not sure what we will do in the autumn, perhaps stay at home, don't know yet.

Our plan so far is to drive up to Scotch Corner, have a look at weather over a coffee, then head either West, or further North! 😂

    We have normally done 10

local weekends away by this point but we only managed to fit in one in March the weekend before the lockdown. We had the Easter weekend booked for the 4 nights, Knaresboriugh was booked for 10 nights in May, Berwick for the late May bank holidays and then 3 nights at the end of June at Moffat for the classic car show all cancelled. We are on our main summer holiday at the moment 3 and a half weeks so that hasn’t been affected and we also are planning on going to Chester for a week in October so we will see if we get on that. We are planning to get away as much as possible from now on even if it is just local trips.

We were lucky enough to get our holiday in South Africa done and dusted just before the pandemic took hold (although they were already doing temperature checks when we arrived!)

Having sold our van last year, we had 2 cottages booked (both transferred to 2021) and planned to spend more time down in Cornwall. We manage a few days pre lockdown, the rest,  as they say is history.

We now have a cottage booked in Yorkshire for next week and another in the Lakes in October. Also a week walking in the Italian Lakes in September. So, with a few more trips down to Cornwall, we'll probably have spent almost as much time away from home as normal but over a shorter time span.

Hope for better things in 2021! smile

First booking of the year, a trip to Pembrey early March OK, then Covid!!!!!. Amsterdam, bulb fields and Rhine cruise in April cancelled, all club site bookings in April, May & June cancelled. Brittany end June cancelled. At last July and back at Pembrey to start all over again, let's hope we don't get lockdown again.

Had a trip to France/Spain booked April thru June 2020, only booked ferry Portsmouth/Caen BF gave us credit voucher for outbound plus 15 pct discount if we booked something before 31st july 2020.

Inbound was on flexi ticket, so moved the whole lot foward to outbound 1st Sept return 17th Nov 2020, had only booked 1 site in France for outward journey for which we received a credit and our now using on new trip, so nothing lost hopefully everything to gain if we can depart on 1st Sept.

Note to self, I know you get discount via club if you use BF, but according to some on here trying to amend bookings via club has been quite difficult, had no problems dealing with BF online, no phone calls, and as we are club voyage we got a very hefty discount for new outbound Portsmouth-Caen, nearly got it free laughing

The only thing we’ve got booked is a week at New England Bay in the middle of August. I’m not sure if that will happen as there seems to be too much farm work at the moment. And maybe I’ve been locked down for too long as I don’t really know if I want to go away among people.

Yesterday I nerved myself up to book tickets for two shows at The Sage (Gateshead) next March. I hope I will feel more confident by then.

    I’m quite happy at home.

First casualty was flight from Exeter to Malta in March, we were all packed and ready to go, but then Italy kicked off big time so we decided to write that one off. Next hit was flights to Gibraltar in April, but Easyjet have allowed us to reschedule to January 2021. Next hit was ferry from Dover to Dunkirk and then Bari, Italy to Igoumenitsa in Greece in May. Greek ferry operator has changed status of our tickets to ‘open’ so hopefully we’ll be able to try that again next May. Ferry booked from Plymouth to Santander in October for winter trip to Spain, fingers firmly crossed on that one. Ended up touring quiet spots in the UK using own facilities - Cotswolds yesterday, Bewdley today Wales tomorrow and Scotland trip in September, but doesn’t really appeal as much as a foreign adventure. I won’t be sad to see the back of 2020!

We came home about a week early just before lockdown was announced, having been away for 61 nights on our early spring trip. Have held back through t h e lockdown and because of dental appointments, but have just now booked 4 sites starting from next Monday, with another couple to book before getting home to have the car serviced and then we'll be off again, providing of course no further lockdown is enforced. We may even set off earlier if we can get on a site. Had to alter plans for forthcoming trip as in the area we originally planned to visit the two sites we tried were fully booked already.

We nearly always book the Lake District in advance, this year we'd included a trip to the NE to see our son and family so all that got cancelled and our deposits were returned.

Having just had a two site six day trip with a completely different mind set ie go away, don't plan anything, have a complete rest etc etc all I can say is that it was good to see other people thinking and doing the same!

PS The cat appears to have had the best holiday, he was allowed to have contact with two female friends at the cattery, for some unknown reason the cattery owner thought he'd like company...which he did as he's a lounge lizard type...strange things happen due to Covid 19! 😺

PS Beware. If you pre-booked a trip with the C&CC before the VAT reduction came into place you won't get the benefit of the reduced rate for your holiday even if your holiday is after July 15th! Bookings made later are ok.

Hi David, For a mix of reasons we had nothing booked except a 14 day rally in September which we have been told will, subject to any unforeseen problems, take place.

We had planned to do just over three weeks in France between our Grandsons DOE Gold expedition and his last day at college, both lost to the virus, and also intended to rally at Easter and Whitsun.

As it turns out my Mum in law was taken ill, having a one night and then ten night stay in hospital, and any trips away from Cornwall would have been a no no anyway.

We have family on holiday in Cornwall at the moment but suitable sites to stay near them are fully booked so it’s day trips only but at least we are able to pick good days weather wise

Having had to cancel a rally last October and, for the first time in 17 years not going on a rally at New Year, our September rally, fingers firmly crossed, will see a period of 12 months between outings, something we could not have imagined, but hope that we can stay healthy and have a busier time van wise from September onwards.

We had a cruise in Jan/Feb, then 3 weeks in Lanzarote at the beginning of March lost the last few days there due to the Spanish lockdown. Then home to the lockdown here.

Our ferry to Bilbao in April was cancelled and voucher issued (still to rebook that trip)

Since the lockdown was eased we have had 2 trips out with the van and another one coming up this weekend for 6 nights.

A trip down to Yorkshire is in the diary for first week of August. After that nothing else planned until we go (fingers crossed) to France beginning of September for 5 weeks.

If everything looks ok in Spain we might even pop over (if we can get a ferry) for 5 or 6 weeks Nov/Dec.

Sadly no trips planned for this year, for obvious reasons so far, but forward of today, still nothing as awaiting the outcome of a possible 2nd wave of the pandemic.

The wait and see attitude is down to an underlying health problem which is probably why others may not be so keen as well.

Was talking to another two sets of caravanners today and they were having problems booking up sites and they suspected it may be due to those who normally go abroad 'staycationing' in the UK instead.

I have only just realised that I haven't put any diesel in the van since November last year, not a drop, nor have we spent a penny on any sites and had the van SORN'd for a while. In that time we would usually expect to have spent £1500+ . That amount has gone on other, unexpected and less fun expenses though, so I'm no better off.. frown

Hasn’t made a big difference to our plans because we didn’t have any smile.  Had a weekend mid January and then our kitchen redone in Feb, finishing 10 days before lockdown started.

We tend not to go for long trips because of caring responsibilities for my 89 year old mother in law so limited to within 90 mins of home and 2/3 nights.

The only change is a postponement of our visit to Bristol to see stepdaughter and family in March as she was shielding.

Once Boris announced the partial reopening of schools and said campsites wouldn’t open before July 4th I booked 3 alternate weekends anticipating a rush as soon as he gave the final go ahead.

Was getting stir crazy at home because I didn’t want to jeopardise my Pacemaker op when they re-started procedures so avoided all shops for 3 months.  We have bookings for the next 2 weekends then will do a couple more depending on the weather.

We had Easter weekend then the French Alps for two weeks end of May, both canceled 😕 We should be off to thetford tomorrow but have had to cancel due to a member of our household being tested positive to covid last Thursday, they have shown no symptoms whatsoever😳we are lucky as we get tested every week through my wife’s workplace 👍 so let’s see what comes back this Sunday !! In the meantime we are all subject to self isolating 😟
