Advice on towing mirrors for Kia Sportage

We swapped our ageing Sorento tow car for a 2016 Kia Sportage first edition. Our old towing mirrors won’t stay put so we’ve bought a pair of  Milenco Aero 3 mirrors. They don’t seem to fit securely even with the V shaped pads, there just isn’t enough contact area between the pads and the mirror casing making me really nervous about towing with them. If I tighten them further the contact area is even less and now I read they might crack the mirror casing if they’re too tight. Help!

We have a 2013 Sportage kx4 and use the same mirrors ,once the clamps are fitted they did need a bit of jiggling to fit we leave the clamps in place and just take the arms off, if you do ensure that the screws for the arms are tightened after removal embarassed

Mystery have you taken a look at the Kia owners site. Ive used it a few times and found it a valuable resource.

    Hi,

I tow with a 2015 Sportage.  I use Milenco Aero 3 mirrors as well ,never had a problem with them.
