    In which direction was the blockade?

    Stopping the the other  countries getting in?

    Stopping more scots trying to get out?

    Not having seen anything other than news reports I am unable to be sure but I would have thought that snp people would be stopping persons from other "countries" entering what they perceive to be theirs to the exclusion of all others !foot-in-mouth

    Local TV showed people arriving at the Highlands End site on the coast, just up the hill from West Bay in Dorset, hardy tenters in the wind and lots of vans, they all seemed happy to be there. The weather looks ok after the weekend. It's fairly warm down here too. smile

    Average is about 4200 pa but I reckon I lose about 300pa because of the tree shading. If Rufs is peaking at around 28-30Kw per day, I think he must have a better angled roof than I. Even with a fully south-facing roof I'm only getting about 24-25 tops. The best ever was 28.2 back when the panels were new.

    Doesn't seem to have been the mad scramble predicted, at least I haven't seen any reports of problems on the roads or with arrivals at sites. Perhaps early days to find out how it is working once on site?

    Wow that is one of a windy site (Highlands End), when we were last there they were in the process of building an area where people could go to escape the wind, have seen many an awning ripped to shreds because people have not heeded the instructions to take them down, but lovely site, even before corvid they used to clean the facilities twice a day but they also had wardens on 4x4's who toured the site cleaning pitches as you left and ensuring people pitched up correctly, really well run. They have statics and some new glamping pods. The other site close by is Fresh Water Beach would have loved to see how they coped, that is a massive site now

    Yes, bungalow is not very deep but very wide so very low angle and no shade.

    Our local council have had numerous of their "trust?" houses fittied with solar panels  , when south facing  ,one of the houses in our terrace is so fitted  and the tenent has said over the few years have been fitted the power output has reduced ,and he has tried to get them cleaned ,but been advised it is not required? when looking at them from our garden,they seem to have a "bloom" on them have either of you had yours cleaned?

    I wait until it is raining really hard and get out there with a soft extendable brush, only done it once in 5 years, after storms early this year they are sparkly clean, they are supposed to be self cleaning, window cleaner will do it at a cost of £80 undecided

    back on topic i read that a service station in Summerset was so full of Lv's that the HGV guys could not get in, apparently some fists were thrown, it would appear the some MH owners in particular think they qualify to use the HGV parking spots undecided

    I cleaned mine as far as I could reach a couple of weeks ago for the first time. A step ladder on the garage roof, extending hose brush attached to a 2.5m length of plastic pipe but I still couldn't reach the top four panels. Asked my window cleaner last week but his kit wouldn't reach either. I get giddy on thick carpet so am reluctant to venture right up the top. Can't say that having cleaned 75% of the area has made any difference that I can notice.

    Have never cleaned ours, they seem to stay clean, probably all the rain!

    Our annual output is consistently around 3500, and our max daily was a little over 28.

    Looking at some CAMC sites availability for next few months whilst very full July/August few sites do not have vacancies from September onwards with usual exceptions like Rowntree Park etc. 

    Having decided to stay reasonably close to home for rest of year I had no problem with changing bookings to do this. Seems to confirm that after the initial rush at least availability of pitches will return to close to normal even if little else does.
