I have written two emails now to the club, to ask if they are going to extend our membership because of the Covid crisis and another asking if they are going to reward the members that have stayed with them and not cancelled there membership. To date I have received no reply, the last communication from the club was 10th May, they say they have people working from home answering emails, maybe they should change that to "we have people at home". I can only say it's a very poor show from the club.

Extend and rewards!! With so many businesses going under due to a massive hit on their income, why are you wanting this one to join them.

You are welcome to express your opinion as am I, and mine is to support the Club whilst it has the benefits I want in the future.

As the club has supported those that have stayed with them?

Does everything need to be reciprocated?

Would you after giving a few coppers to a beggar want to have his hat in return.

Valkev, I'm surprised you wasted your time sending what amounts to begging letters to the club. Nick Lomas has already made the club's position clear when he asked that we support the club by renewing our membership. Whether you do that is entirely your choice.

Now, I must go because I need to ask my local supermarket for a discount due to not being able to get a delivery slot. 🙄😛

Wasn't  Nick Lomas' statement in itself a form of begging? ie continue paying your membership fee for nothing in return

And before you ask .... I didn't  and not sure if I will

His letter was extremely ill judged in my opinion but I'm not getting into the question of whether extensions should be given or not here. Nick Lomas wasn't so much begging but asking for the starus quo to continue. The point was that the club made their decision and that was that so there was no point in the OP begging for a U turn.

    I probably will not.

I think that you will find that with lots of organisations that this virus has been an excuse for bad customer service.

The OP hasn't said if they use CAMC main sites. If they do, even purchasing £100 worth of vouchers would save them £17.50. Which is more than a 3 month saving on membership.

Having a Tow bar fitted using the clubs 'discount' scheme we got £50 + off the tow bar, so having recovered almost the years membership cost I'll stick with it for another year then review it again.

Tend to use CL's more than full sites but we do like the non facility sites, shame they have decided to close most of those for this year.

If they were hoping to drive folk onto the much higher priced sites then I'm afraid where we are concerned, they have failed to do so. We will use CL's and our own facilities.

Tinwheeler,if you read my statement it does say that I was asking a question to which I got no reply. it wasn't a begging letter and I hope you got your discount from the supermarket.xx

I have to laugh at people at times.  Always want something.

As has been expressed many times by others, Membership pays for itself by discounts / savings made / help and advice given etc;  if people use the club. I am a member of both organisations (I was a camper before a caravaner) and use both sites. I choose to be a member (as do you all).

As A professional person, I haven't been able to use my test equipment for 3 months, but Im not likely to get an extension on its calibration because of Covid 19 I haven't been able to use it.  (Nor am I gonna ask for one).

Hope everybody enjoys the rest of the season.
