new to motorhoming having managed 1week away 1st week of March.

my wife and I were planning a 3 week trip from SouthWales to Scotland to do the NC500 . Of course we may not be allowed to undertake the trip and I’m not sure if Scotland would welcome us .

Anyone done it recently . Did you use club sites or even CL sites

I fear that, even if restrictions are lifted, you won’t be very welcome this year.

There are several threads on 'doing' the NC500 which you might find by using the search facility on the front Discussions page - if this site keeps working long enough.

You will need to use all types of site. Try searching UK Campsite.

Ideally, I’d allow 4 weeks to do the 500 plus days for getting there and returning or, alternatively, do part one year and the rest the following year. Journeys take longer in Northern Scotland, especially now it’s become popular with MHs, and you want a bit of time not spent behind the wheel in order to enjoy the place and see the sights.

Agree about the timeframe, don't try to do too much in a short time, otherwise it will be too hectic. I have travelled most of the West and North coast of Scotland but that has taken me best part of 10 years to do it, and I still haven't seen it all !

East Coast and the Northern Isles next (need another lifetime!).

5 miles in any direction, which is almost to the next door neighbor's house.Or 3 miles out to sea in the other direction.
